oTo-Tour Driver License

Pre-Application (Step 3 of the oTo licensing process). Modeled on the Minnesota Class D driver's license process and REAL ID document standards, adapted for autonomous Segway / oTo-Tour operation.

Application Type — choose your license class

Both classes cost the same $40, and both get the same $20 back when 1,000 people sign up. Your class is about how much information you share, not how much you pay — and it sets your discount on all future tours.

Class D-oTo — Standard (less data) $40 off future tours The essentials only. You disclose: legal name, date of birth, contact info, residential address, emergency contact, and the required safety questions (bike ability, vision, balance, weight range). Nothing else needed.
Perks: $20 back when 1,000 people sign up, and at least $40 off every future tour once you complete training — flat, no more. Class R-oTo — oTo-REAL (full disclosure) $40+ off future tours The full profile. Everything in Class D, plus: physical description, existing state driver's license details, prior Segway/PMD experience, medical & medications detail, government photo ID / passport reference, insurance, blood type, and the voluntary demographics if you choose to share them (never your SSN — we don't collect it). Required for guide/operator eligibility.
Perks: the same $20 back at 1,000 signups, and at least $40 off every future tour once you complete training — adaptive: it can grow with the number of rides you complete and your skill level.

The form adapts to your class: pick Class D and you'll only see the essential questions; pick Class R and the full-profile questions appear below.

Class upgrades are retroactive. Not sure? Start with Class D — share the full-profile information later and you move to the Class R refund, even after the payout (we top up the difference). You never lose money by deciding slowly.
